🐄 Bulk Beef & Cow Share FAQ
How does a cow share work?
When you buy a cow share, you’re purchasing a portion of one of our pasture-raised cattle — available in whole, half, or quarter shares. Each share includes an even mix of cuts (steaks, roasts, ground beef, etc.), so every customer gets a balanced variety, not just one section of the cow.
How much does it cost?
Cow shares are $4 per live pound, plus your share of processing costs.
On average, a quarter share costs around $1,200 and yields about 70–100 pounds of finished beef depending on the animal.
What’s included in my share?
Each quarter contains a mix of:
- Steaks (ribeye, sirloin, filet, etc.)
- Roasts (chuck, rump, shoulder, etc.)
- Ground beef
- Optional specialty cuts or organ meats (by request on your cut sheet)
How does the process work?
- Reserve your share (whole, half, or quarter).
- We raise and deliver the cow to our trusted processor.
- We’ll walk you through the cut sheet so you can customize how your beef is cut and packaged.
- You pay the processor directly for your share of processing.
- When your order is ready, you can pick it up at the processor or we can arrange delivery to you.
When can I order?
We process and deliver four times per year — spring, summer, fall, and winter — to match the natural grazing seasons.
How soon can I get my beef?
We are currently sold out for all 2025 orders.
We are now taking pre-orders for Spring 2026, and only three quarter shares remain.
Reserve early to guarantee your spot — once we’re sold out for the year, that’s it!
Why buy bulk beef directly from the farm?
Buying direct gives you:
- Transparent sourcing from our pasture-raised, chemical-free herd
- Better value per pound than retail beef
- Support for small, local farms
- Freezer-ready beef for months of clean, ethical eating
